cicak Privacy Policy

This page describes what we collect when you use cicak and how we keep that data protected. We take your privacy seriously — we do not sell your information to advertisers, and we do not share your data with third parties without your permission. Our servers encrypt all data in transit and at rest, so your account credentials, payment details, and personal information are safe.

We collect information in three ways: directly from you during account setup, automatically when you use cicak (like your device type and IP address), and from payment processors when you deposit or withdraw. This information helps us verify your identity, process your transactions, comply with local law, and improve cicak's performance. We keep your data only as long as necessary — typically three years after your account closes.

Your rights on cicak include the right to access your data, correct inaccurate information, and request deletion. If you want to review what we hold about you, contact our support team via live chat in the cicak app. We respond within 48 hours. If you want to delete your account and all associated data, we comply within 30 days, subject to any legal hold periods.

What we collect on cicak

Information you provide directly

When you open an account on cicak, we ask for your name, phone number, email address, and a copy of a valid ID. We use this information to verify your identity and comply with local law. We also ask for your date of birth to confirm you meet age requirements. We collect your payment method details — for example, your DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, or online payment account credentials — only to process your deposits and withdrawals. We do not store your payment credentials on our servers; we pass them encrypted to our payment processors.

We also collect information you enter voluntarily — for example, if you contact our support team, we store your message and our response. If you update your account details, we record the change and the timestamp. This information helps us resolve disputes and track account history.

Information we collect automatically

When you use cicak on your Android phone or iOS browser, we collect your device type, operating system version, app version, and unique device ID. We also collect your IP address, which tells us your approximate geographic location. We use this information to prevent fraud, enforce our jurisdiction restrictions, and improve cicak's performance across different devices.

We collect usage data — for example, which games you play, which markets you enter, and how long you spend on cicak. We use this data to understand player behaviour, improve our game selection, and personalize your experience. We do not track your browsing outside cicak — we only see your activity within our platform.

How we use and protect your data on cicak

Data use and storage

We use your data to operate cicak — to verify your identity, process your transactions, settle your market entries, and support your account. We also use your data to comply with local law, including anti-money-laundering regulations and tax law. During busy periods like Idul Fitri, Idul Adha, and Imlek, we may review account activity to detect fraud.

We also use your data to improve cicak. We analyse gameplay patterns to understand which games are most popular, which payment methods are most reliable, and where we experience technical issues. We use this analysis to expand our game selection, add payment options, and improve app performance.

We do not use your data for marketing without your consent. If you opt in to marketing emails, we send you notifications about new games, tournament schedules, and payment promotions. You can opt out anytime by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email or by updating your notification settings in the cicak app.

Our servers may sit outside your jurisdiction — for example, they may be located in neighbouring Southeast Asian countries or in data centres operated by cloud providers. Your data remains encrypted during transmission and at rest, so physical location does not compromise security. We comply with all local data-protection laws regardless of where our servers are located.

Third-party processors

We work with third-party processors to operate cicak. Our payment processors (QRIS provider, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, and bank partners) handle your payment data. Our hosting provider stores our databases. Our analytics provider helps us understand how cicak is used. We require all third parties to sign data-protection agreements, so they cannot sell or misuse your information.

We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers. We may share anonymised data — for example, "many active users accessed Liga 1 markets on cicak last week" — but this data cannot identify you individually.

We at cicak protect your data with encryption, store it securely, and never sell it to third parties.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies to keep you logged in to cicak on your phone and to remember your preferences. We also use cookies to detect fraud and enforce our jurisdiction restrictions. Our cookies do not track you outside cicak — they only work within our platform.

We do not use tracking pixels, web beacons, or other hidden tracking technology. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may prevent you from logging into cicak or accessing some features.

Your rights and data deletion

You have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate information, and request deletion. To exercise these rights, contact our support team via live chat in the cicak app. We respond within 48 hours. If you request data deletion, we delete your account data within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer due to legal requirements — for example, we may keep transaction records for three years for tax purposes.

If you close your cicak account, your personal information is deleted, but your transaction history is retained for tax and fraud-prevention purposes. We do not delete transaction history because it is needed to comply with local law.

We update this privacy policy periodically. We notify you of material changes via email and in-app notification. If you continue to use cicak after changes take effect, you accept the updated policy. If you disagree with our updated policy, you can close your account and request data deletion.
